We’re on the lookout for a warm, confident and hands-on **Reception Supervisor** to join our Front of House team at **The Fish Hotel** — one of Farncombe Estate’s award-winning hotels, set within our beautiful hillside woodland above Broadway.

The Fish is all about relaxed, feel-good luxury… where guests come to switch off, reconnect with nature and enjoy great food, fresh air and thoughtful hospitality. As a Reception Supervisor, you’ll lead by example on the desk — ensuring every guest experience is personal, seamless and memorable, while supporting and developing the team around you.

️ What you’ll be doing:

* Leading the reception team on shift, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times
* Welcoming and hosting guests from arrival to departure with warmth and professionalism
* Supporting, coaching and motivating the team to deliver a consistently high standard
* Overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the department
* Handling guest queries, feedback and complaints with confidence and care
* Supporting with rota planning, team communication and daily briefings
* Ensuring accurate billing, cash handling and system use across the team
* Working closely with housekeeping, food & beverage and wider departments
* Maintaining excellent knowledge of the Estate, local area and guest experiences
* Stepping up in the absence of the Reception Manager when required

✨ What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience in a Front Office or Reception role
* A natural leader who leads by example with a positive, supportive approach
* A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communication and problem-solving skills
* A hands-on attitude — happy to jump in and support the team wherever needed
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

The details:

* £13.85 per hour (rising to £14.05 after one year)
* Plus service charge (£2,000–£2,500 per year)
* 40 hours per week across 5 days (including weekends)
* Meals on duty and uniform provided
